Extreme Safari and Rhino Ark UK are organising this new event to raise funds for the Rhino Ark Charitable Trust. The concept is similar to that of the original Rhino Charge but will take the form of an adventure race. There are 3 disciplines - cross-orienteering, mountain biking, and kayaking/rafting. You will compete in teams of 4 (with priority being given to mixed-sex teams). It's not a 'relay' - all 4 team members have to tackle the stages together. The event is designed to be challenging but accessible enough for people who have never done an adventure race or triathlon before. Above all it's meant to be "fun" - no crawling through freezing swamps! The Corfe / Studland / Poole Harbour area is stunning with beautiful beaches, forests and cliffs. Being September we also expect good weather (and warm water!) The race will take place on Saturday 2 Sept, with a big Braai (+ Tuskers) afterwards. Everyone will stay overnight on the Saturday and will be free to spend Sunday (recovering) on the beaches at Studland Bay or Sandbanks.
